My last submission for a the TAUNY (Traditional Arts of Upstate New York) Gingerbread Contest.  The theme was Fairy Tales, so I set Sleeping Beauty in an architectural reproduction of a local sandstone cemetery gatehouse/residence that has always reminded me of a castle.  Everything was edible- gingerbread and chocolate candy accents, with some gum paste details.  The roof was eggwash and crushed bay leaf.  The dragon was primarily cookie with royal icing.
